Mentor PROGRAM PARTICULARS

PURPOSE:

The Perfect Step Mentor Program was developed to give high school students an opportunity to explore the potential career path of physical sciences, to provide them with a unique opportunity to become educated about paralysis, and the recovery process, and to mentor them in their aspirations after high school. The Mentor Program often provides the necessary leadership and education that evokes passion and direction for their chosen career path in the future. The goal of the Mentor Program is to try and develop knowledge, awareness, and untapped potential within the mentees.

The program is a way for the mentor and mentees to positively share education, wisdom, life, and career experiences with another individual that can benefit from the direct and personal interaction that is provided through mentorship.

For the mentees that may find themselves in a situation where they are mentoring others and both teaching and providing knowledge to others in the future, we believe that this program can help provide certain tools, information, knowledge, and resources that will set the mentees up for success in their future life. The hope is to inspire the next generation so they can pay it forward to others in need.
